Chesapeake Traditions tries as hard as possible to reduce shipping costs to all our customers. We currently offer weekday discounts to most parts of the country. Shipping costs are based on the product total and required shipping service. A quote will be given before final checkout.
We ship out every Wednesday. We recommend shipping overnight using FedEx Standard Overnight (By 4:30 pm), but we also offer FedEx 2day Air (2nd day by 7:00pm) as well as a FedEx Next-Day Ground Service (By end of next day) to our local customers which includes parts of MD, DE, NJ, VA, WV, PA, OH, NY, MA, VT, CT and DC. Fedex does not require a signature, so product will be left at door if noone is home.
*Exact or guaranteed time of delivery varies depending on ship to zip code. Some remote or rural areas may take longer. No PO Box delivery allowed.
Cut-off time for orders placed over the internet is 8 AM EST Wednesday ensure the order gets sent out on that Wednesday. All orders received after 8 AM EST on Wednesday will be shipped out the following Wednesday.
Standard Overnight orders and Next Day Ground Orders will be recieved on Thursday. 2nd Day Service orders wil be recieved on Friday.
Customers may check www.fedex.com or call them toll free at 1-(800)-GO-FEDEX to check on delivery schedules and track packages.

All orders must be in by 8:00 AM EST on Wednesday to be shipped out that day.
Anything after that won't be shipped out until the following Wednesday.
Delivery Terms:
Seafood products are very perishable. All our shipments are packed with ample refrigerant to maintain the product in average weather conditions for the desired shipping period. It is recommended that someone be available for delivery, or shortly thereafter. If you are sending a gift to someone, please notify them when to expect the delivery. If no one is available, and the package is left unattended for an extended period we can not be held responsible for the seafood remaining in good condition. We supply all our customers with FedEx tracking numbers.
*We do not contact gift recipients to inform them of pending deliveries.
Please check the shipping address carefully for errors and make sure the address is deliverable. We can not be held responsible for shipments to a wrong address or an address that FedEx is unable to deliver.
Upon receipt we recommend that you unpack the contents as soon as possible and store the seafood in the refrigerator and/or freezer, as appropriate, to maintain optimum freshness. The shipping containers may not be suitable for storing your product after receipt.
Packing Info:
Shipping Perishable items takes thought and careful planning. We've designed our own packing system using gel packs and/or dry ice (be careful handling dry ice) that keeps perishables cool in transit. We make sure to arrange your seafood in custom boxes designed to keep your order in top condition. There is absolutely no charge for the packing materials.
Dry Ice:
Some perishable items are packed snugly in a reusable Styrofoam container and layered with dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) to ensure freshness upon arrival. Please unpack all items as soon as possible after delivery and refrigerate or freeze promptly.
Dry ice must be handled carefully. Do not touch to skin, mouth or eyes. Do not eat. Do not store in areas other than those that are open and well ventilated. Keep out of reach of children. For disposal, leave the wrapped dry ice inside the insulated cooler with the lid closed and place the cooler in a well ventilated area. Dry ice will evaporate fully within 24-36 hours.
NOTE: It is perfectly normal if the dry ice has evaporated by the time of arrival. Therefore, the products will arrive frozen, semi-frozen, or partially thawed. This is fine, as long as the product is cold to touch.
Return Policy:
If your order is spoiled or damaged due to negligence by Chesapeake Traditions or FedEx, we will replace it free-of-charge. If you receive an order that you suspect is spoiled, damaged, or incorrect in any way, please do not discard the contents. Contact us immediately at 410-749-7075. We may request that you return the order to us for inspection. If you are dissatisfied with your order, you must notify our office by phone or email within 24 hours after receipt.
